Thursday and Friday
No school - Thanksgiving Holiday



Wednesday
Worked on The Cornucopia Mystery (reading comprehension questions and 25 parts of speech words to define). We reviewed the parts of speech. The words will appear on upcoming quizzes.
Homework: Create a metaphor using the phrase "the red ant" somewhere in the sentence. Try to avoid using the verb 'to be' (is, was, etc.). Study for review quiz on the pos and sed, sid root words next week(last two Roots quizzes material). Remember to read (and test on) at least one non-fiction book this quarter. Check AR BookFinder to see whether a book is fiction (F) or nonfiction (NF).


Tuesday
Continued with presentations.
We graded the Roots Quiz on sed, sed, siss words and the Parts of Speech/Dictation Quiz.
Homework: Study parts of speech, vocab, etc. There will be a review quiz on the pos and sed, sid root words after Thanksgiving (last two Roots quizzes material).


Monday
Turned in The Killer Angels worksheets: Commanders Chart (blue), Anticipation Guide (yellow), and four sheets on Monday through Thursday of June/July 1863. Students began presenting The Killer Angels Challenge Assignment. Those viewing the presentation also had a review sheet to fill out for each presenter.
Homework: Review vocab, parts of speech, roots, etc. There will be a roots quiz next week on pos and sed, sid words (last two quizzes).
