Week of Nov. 29

Friday
In the computer lab, students worked on their pre-writing skills.Homework:
If you didn't already do this at school, get as far as the webbing (Clustering Practice 4). Do the webbing on a sheet of paper and turn it in Monday.



Thursday
We finished presenting the "Who's the Best Commander?" projects and graded the last Roots Quiz (cap).
Homework:
Have library card or # tomorrow!



Wednesday
Students presented the "Who's the Best Commander?" projects.
Homework:
Study roots, vocab, etc.



Tuesday
Ms. Ronemous had a sub.
Students read "When the Earth Shakes" on p. 435 in the literature textbook.
They created a flow map to show the organizational structure of the article.
On the back of the flow map, they were to develop a thesis statement for the article, and under that, comment on whether or not the author provided an effective introduction and conclusion. All answers must give evidence from the text for their argument.
Homework:
