This week students will
- organize and label their five folders
- discuss learning strategies that they find effective for the particular type of learner they are
- Handout: African Fire packet for reading comprehension (due Friday)
- in cooperative groups, complete Literary Elements x-wd (to be used as a study guide)
- take the SRI (Student Reading Inventory) to determine their lexile level and receive a customized list of books at their level (Thursday)
- engage in grammar, mechanics, and usage activities
- finish, print, and hand in their pen pal letters (Friday)- take a test on Stems List #1 (Friday)
- stretch their brains by completing the Gory Gardening crossword puzzle (turned in)
