Week of Nov. 1

Friday
I collected the Wed. and Thurs., Week 5 w/s.
Students took the Roots Review (pos, sed) and Vocab Quizzes.
We graded the Roots (sed) Quiz.
We read Day 3, Chapter 2: Longstreet to page 292 ("...could take that hill.")
Homework:
Finish the chapter and questions. Be ready for a reading quiz on the part you read by yourself.



Thursday
Students took the 7th grade Persuasive Text diagnostic via Learning Express on the Phoenix Public Library web site.
Homework:
Thurs., Week 5 w/s
Study for Roots/Vocab Review (pos, sed) tomorrow.




Wednesday

We went over Mon. and Tues. Week 2 w/s. I collected the Monday one to review the summaries (question 5).
We took the Vocab and Roots (sed) Quizzes, and then had time for AR reading and quiz-taking.

Tuesday
Students took a Persuasive Techniques Pre-Test (not graded - turned in).
Students worked on the Fri., Week 4 w/s (used the back of the handout).
In their journals, they responded to Write What You See w/s 27, and then pasted the half-sheet into their journal. The journals stayed at school.
Homework:
Tues., Week 5 w/s
Study for Roots/Vocab Quizzes tomorrow.

We began Day 3 of the battle, reading pp. 275-281 ("...the Regiment of Home.").
